Highly visible glass-top structure

Easily kept clean using chemical washdown or simple wipes. Besides being water- and scratch-resistent, PCAP is responsive and provides high tolerance to resist false signals when dirt or water droplets are present on the face of the HMI.

No mechanical durability issues

The PCAP touch panel uses a sensor board to detect changes in electric charge to identify the position of the touch. There is no mechanical deterioration, allowing for agile operation, and multi-touch sensing gloves less than 1.5mm thick1 can be used.

1. The touchscreen may not work with gloves less than 1.5mm thick depending on the material or environment. Check operation in the actual use environment or under similar conditions.

The tempered glass ensures high impact resistance. The HG1J and HG2J panels, protected by a safety film, successfully withstood a drop test involving a 1kg steel ball dropped from a height of 60cm onto the glass center. Even at an increased drop height of 80cm, where the glass may have cracked, the protective film effectively contained any shards, preventing them from scattering.

Coin cell batteries not required

Battery-free design with data stored on nonvolatile magnetic media. Time information is preserved with power from large-capacity capacitors. ;Since lithium batteries are not consumable, they are not affected during ocean and air transportation and do not require maintenance for battery replacement, leading to reduced waste.

FTP Communication Protocol

  • FTP communication allows users to configure the HMI screen as a FTP Client or Server for transfer of programs and logged data between a Client and Server, providing a convenient and effective way to remotely communicate with the HMI.
  • Up to 16 Servers can be managed simultaneously, and access folders can also be managed.
  • This greatly simplifies User program updates, as it’s no longer necessary to have the IDEC programming software installed on multiple PCs throughout a facility or a company.

Email Function

Dynamic PLC and HMI values can ne incorporated into email to show status conditions. Files, such as Alarm Log, Data Log, Operation Log and Screenshot can be attached in the email. Up to 255 email templates can be configured to multiple recipients.

WindEdit Lite App

Available for FREE in the App Store or Google Play, this app provides quick and convenient remote monitoring and control from smartphones and tablets. Users can upload and download HMI Programs, monitor HMI device addresses, access logged data and manage files in SD/USB memory cards. 

BACNet Protocol

  • BACNet is a communications protocol for building automation and control systems such as heating, and air-conditioning control (HVAC), lighting control, access control, and fire detection and their associated equipment.
  • Building Automation control protocol is now supported in the native Ethernet port of the HG1J and HG2J displays.

No HTML Programming Required

WindOI NV4 version 1.4.0 or later has a new Web Page Editor, making it simple to create professional and dynamic web pages to monitor and control an IDEC touchscreen, with no HTML programming required.
