CHALLENGES

Do you face any of these challenges?

High-traffic and unrestricted areas such as public facilities cause contamination.

The risk of infection is especially high when an unspecified number of people come into contact with the product. IDEC touchless switch respond to the growing need for contactless products as a measure to prevent infection.

Applications where infection risk reduction and hygiene measures are required but you don't know what to do.

As you don't have direct contacts, touchless switches can be used in applications where infection risk reduction and hygiene measures are required.

Concerned about the labor required for frequent wiping with disinfectant, resulting in surface deterioration of the switch.

Wiping with disinfectant has become routine after the spread of the COVID-19. Using our touchless switches, you will be not only saving labor and the cost of disinfectant, but also preventing the switch getting a poor appearance due to surface deterioration caused by repetitive disinfection work.

Reduction of operator burden for high-frequency switch operation.

Operation of mechanical pushbutton switches can lead to work strain if they are operated frequently. We want to reduce the burden on operators and improve work efficiency and productivity by using non-contact switches.

Improved switch durability

High-frequency switch operation also leads to a decrease in switch life and an increase in the risk of switch failure, and the durability of switches should be improved.

PRODUCT FEATURES

Detection Distance

The unique lens structure can limit the detection range to the front of the product, which prevents malfunctions and can be detected with or without gloves on.1

1Detecting body: human hands. The detection range varies depending on the detector.

cw1h-img06n (1)

Standard Model (Diffuse-Reflective)

Near-infrared reflectance. Detects objects only within a specific distance range. The sensitivity control on the back of the switch allows adjustment of the maximum detection range of approximately 70 to 270 mm.

Suitable for applications that require a long range detection.

cw1h-img06-1 (1)

Short Range Detection Model (Convergent Reflective)

Emits and receives light at an angle. Detects objects only within a specific distance range. Detection range about 5~30mm.

Suitable for applications that require only short range detection. Avoids long range detection.
